On November 17, 2014, Central Maryland Regional Transit lost a much-loved member of our team, due to complications from surgery. Andrew McDonald, known to friends and family as Andy, was 34 years old and was a passionate advocate for individuals with disabilities, especially Transitioning Youth. He felt that young adults with disabilities should be provided with all of the skills necessary to be able to independently access employment, education and their community after graduating high school. Andy also spearheaded the creation of our newly formed One-on-One Training program and worked tirelessly to ensure that we are able to serve as many people as possible.
Please visit the Andrew McDonald Memorial Fund page to learn more about Andy and help us continue his legacy.
